New high efficiency synchronous step-up converter product series, the HT77xxFA. This series of devices are suitable for use in remote control products, wireless mice, blood glucose meters, electric clippers and thermo-hygrometers. The integrated Schottky diode will reduce layout area, which is a great benefit in small scale mobile devices.
This new range of devices have a supply current of 4µA, a standby current of 6µA and a high efficiency rating of up to 95%, making the devices suitable for battery powered products. Battery types could be Li-ion batteries, button-cell batteries and Alkaline batteries, etc. For single-cell Alkaline batteries and super capacitor applications, the hold-on voltage of 0.25V and the startup voltage of 0.85V provides a higher level of endurance when compared with other solutions. With regard to system power, these devices provide a low ripple and high-regulation output voltage, making them suitable for sensors, screen displays and wireless ICs. In addition, the devices have excellent reliability due to their strong ESD resistance, allowing customers to reduce the production line malfunction rate.
The HT77xxFA devices are available in 3-pin SOT23, 5-pin SOT23 and 3-pin SOT89 package types. For the SOT23-5 package, it includes a CE control pin to allow the master MCU to control the device.
