Luminus introduced the CBM-40-SB. This high-power LED has an emitting surface area of 4 mm² with 1:1 aspect ratio and has a low-profile window for efficient coupling into small-etendue systems. The Sky Blue color with emission at 470nm is ideally suited for microscopy and fluorescence applications and targets demanding markets such as medical, instrumentation, and industrial. In addition, due to the nature of this particular wavelength, it could also be used in very specific applications, spanning from disinfection and bacterial control to phototherapy, such as treatment for infant jaundice.
