Our Power Delivery series offer USB data bridge + USB Power Delivery within a single chip. It's a two-in-one solution that allows easily integration of Type-C with higher power.
Products in the market are often a two-chip solution, with USB data bridge IC and USB Power Delivery IC as two separate products.
Another key highlight is the "Dead Battery Mode". This system supports charging with USB Type-C, and also supports charging when the battery is dead or deeply discharged, and must present Rd on CC1, CC2 and follow all sink rules.
All of FTDI’s USB Power Delivery products support dead battery mode for sink devices to be powered from dead battery state through an external source.
