Many outdoor applications adopt projected capacitive (PCAP) touch technology. However, these applications are usually constantly under sunlight. Extended exposure to ultraviolet (UV) damages the ITO film of the touch panel, causing the touch panel to have different degrees of yellowing, hazing, bubbling, or cracking.
