The MPQ6653-AEC1 and MP6653 are 5.5V to 35V, 32V, 1.2A peak phase current, single-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor drivers with integrated power MOSFETs and an embedded Hall sensor. The high-side and low-side MOSFETs’ on resistance are as low as 960mΩ for high efficiency and excellent thermal performance. They support pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal or DC voltage inputs and feature open-loop or closed-loop speed control, as well as a configurable speed curve, configurable soft commutation, and Hall offset angle that can flexibly optimize performance. In addition, the MPQ6653-AEC1 and MP6653 support a speed detection function via the open-drain output FG/RD pin, which outputs a high or low voltage relative to the internal Hall comparator’s output. Internal safety features include under-voltage lockout (UVLO), over-voltage protection (OVP), over-current protection (OCP), locked-rotor protection, and thermal shutdown. The MPQ6653-AEC1 and MP6653 are available in small TSOT23-6 and TSOT23-6-L packages. They are designed for single-phase BLDC fans, such as automotive seat fans, and industrial cooling fans and blowers.
