For Alcom electronics it is vital to secure business continuity therefore we are focused on the timely delivery of products from our manufacturers to all our customers.
During these challenging times, we represent leading manufacturers that are using manufacturing and subcontracting sites across the world. The situation with regard to limited material availability (allocation), increased raw material prices and tight logistics capacities as a result of the Corona pandemic has detreated drastically in recent weeks.
We all see that the Covid-19 virus is spreading still heavily around the world while Europe is seeing a strong downwards pattern. Brief, Covid-19 can and will affect the operation of factories worldwide by more strict limitations. Alcom electronics is working closely with its franchised suppliers to understand and minimize the impact of often completely unexpected and sudden lockdowns of factories around the globe. Unfortunately, not all delivery dates nor prices, can therefore be met, even if they have already been confirmed, processed and planned with greatest care. We are only able to give binding delivery dates if a corresponding, in particular also confirmed supply, by our suppliers is guaranteed. We understand that this current situation may generate significant issues and frustrations at all customers and particularly all the respected people running the supply chain.
Some key components have stretched beyond 40-weeks lead time. For Alcom, it is extremely helpful to receive your firm orders well in advance of the desired delivery date. Getting more visibility on our customers’ best forecast view is beneficial for all parties involved.
We assure our customers that all employees at Alcom are doing everything possible to minimize the delays in deliveries -including special measures- as much as possible. For all your deliveries we are in direct connection with our franchised partners. While the current worldwide travel conditions remain difficult or almost excluded, the Alcom team and its management stays in proximity of their customers while trying to guarantee production capacity based on raw material availability at all suppliers. Rest assured that every customer is important to Alcom.
